Description

RARE ZENAIR ZODIAC CH-640 – FACTORY QUICK-BUILD AIRFRAME KIT – 4 SEAT
Original Zenair Zodiac CH-640 Factory Quick-Build Kit (QBK), Serial No. 640-0097, circa 2009.
The Quick-Build Kit contains the same basic components as the standard complete airframe kit, but with the major airframe assemblies substantially advanced at the Zenair factory, dramatically reducing the required construction time to approximately 750 hours.
The fuselage, wings, ailerons, flaps and stabilator were typically assembled at the factory using the same jigs and production methods as the FAA type-certified CH2000 aircraft.
Factory Quick-Build Kit includes:
Factory-riveted wing spars
Pre-formed sheet-metal components, including ribs and skins
Factory-welded components
Substantially assembled fuselage
Substantially assembled wings
Ailerons and flaps
Stabilator
Landing gear system and wheels
Standard fuel system components
Flight controls
Hardware required for assembly
Original manuals and documentation
Builder Completion
The Quick-Build configuration still requires the builder to complete items such as:
Rudder
Wing-tip extensions
Carbon-fiber cabin-area components
Final assembly of the airframe sections
Landing gear and brake installation
Fuel system installation
Electrical system
Seats and interior components
Not included in the standard airframe kit: firewall-forward powerplant, instruments/avionics package, paint and upholstery.
This is an advanced project / airframe kit and is not a completed or airworthy aircraft. Final assembly, systems installation, inspection and applicable certification/approval are required before flight.
A rare opportunity to acquire an original Zenair factory Quick-Build CH-640 airframe kit, with a significant amount of the major construction already completed at the factory.
