Year of manufacture 1944 and released into service on the 31st August 1944.

Engine: Continental C-85-8 with 72 Hrs TSO
Propeller: Sensenich 72 x 46 wooden. Serviced by Alan James
Total rebuild in 2021 to 2025 in the UK. New Fabric and painted in authentic scheme of the 87th Infantry Battalion.
This aircraft has got significant WW2 history and arrived in the ETO on 2nd Sept 1944 and saw service under General George S Patton’s 3rd Army. It was active in the Battle of the Bulge and at Bastogne. It crossed the Rhine in the advance toward Czechoslovakia. It remained in Germany until 1946 and sold to Belgium and entered civilian service. Recovered from Germany again in 1980’s and returned to flight in the USA.
A full restoration to its original scheme commissioned to include correct period instruments which have been inspected and serviced by Skysmart UK and completed in early 2025.
Based at a private airstrip in South Oxfordshire.
