The Yakovlev Yak-50 is an aerobatic aircraft featuring a single-seat, all-metal, low-wing monoplane design with retractable main wheels and an exposed tail wheel. Notably, the aircraft is not equipped with flaps. This particular Yak-50 is powered by a supercharged Vedeneyev M14P engine, producing 360 hp and driving the MTV 9-250 propeller through a reduction gearbox. The Yakovlevs' paint scheme is an adaptation of the livery used by aircraft in the 1941 Battle of Stalingrad to identify allies and has been used by The Yakovlevs in an honour to the men and women who were involved. This model was twice named World Aerobatic Champion and has served as a military trainer in several countries.
