Lancair Legacy kit #292 was started at the factory in 2002, where the wings and tail were closed out on the original factory jigs to ensure perfect alignment. The original owner brought in one of the most respected Legacy builders in the country to shape this kit into a potential showpiece. The result is an advanced, beautifully assembled airframe with expert craftsmanship, clean lines, and thoughtful touches throughout.
Many of the difficult steps are already completed. The canopy-one of the most challenging tasks in a Legacy build-has been expertly fitted. Tight-access panels have been added to the tail section to simplify future maintenance. Fuel and brake line plumbing has been started. Numerous small improvements and custom mods are included with the sale, offering both performance benefits and time-saving advantages to the next builder.
The project is currently located in a hangar in California.
